Who we are
This website is the official home of The Cube Chronicles book series. For privacy questions, contact us via the contact page.
What we collect
You can read the entire site without an account. If you choose to register to take part in discussions, we collect only:
- a display name you choose (shown publicly next to your posts);
- your email address (never shown publicly);
- a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form);
- a consent timestamp recording when you agreed to receive required account and discussion emails;
- your notification preferences;
- limited technical data (e.g., IP address and browser) used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
How we use your information
We use your email address only to:
- verify your account;
- send the discussion notifications you have asked for (for example, when an answer to your question is approved);
- send essential account or security messages.
We do not sell your data, and we do not display email addresses publicly. Every notification email includes an unsubscribe link.
Content you post
Questions, answers, and comments are reviewed by a moderator before they appear publicly. Approved content is shown with your display name. You can request removal of your content via the contact page.
Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies for sign-in sessions and security (see our Cookie & Analytics Notice). If privacy-friendly analytics are enabled, they are configured without cross-site tracking.
Data retention & your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and personal data at any time via the contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We honor unsubscribe and deletion requests promptly.
Children
This site is designed for parents, educators, librarians, and readers who can lawfully register. We do not knowingly collect birth dates or personal information from children. See the note on our Terms of Use about minimum-age and parental consent, which the site owner will finalize based on legal review.
Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions are protected with secure, HttpOnly cookies, forms are protected against bots and cross-site request forgery, and all user content is sanitized before display.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted here with a new “last updated” date.
